Shebeen-free suburbs possible

President Hage Geingob wants shebeens out of residential areas and closed on Sundays.
Geingob, who addressed Khomas Region residents during one of his town hall meetings at Ramatex, also urged shebeen owners to close their bars during the week because “people work during the week”. Although he condemned shebeens as a social evil, he acknowledged that they are a livelihood for people who have no other income.
