DTA calls for greater women's participation

DTA National Chairperson Jennifer van den Heever has called on party members in the Zambezi Region to aim at increasing women’s participation in politics.
At a public meeting at Sibbinda village on Sunday, Van den Heever said the regional party leadership must support women’s political participation and representation in all structures.
According to Van den Heever, women should campaign as candidates in the November local and regional elections, for council seats would give them more influence over policy decisions, women’s rights and gender equality.
