Namibia’s Peter Shalulile is a man on a mission as he continues to score goals, setting himself up for a great position at the top of the Premier League table.

Shalulile has proven to be reliable both in the air and on the ground, scoring from all angles and having scored 13 goals in 17 league games so far this season.

With his performance, he appears to be on the way to breaking Zambia’s Collins Mbesuma’s record of 25 goals which he attained during the 2004/05 campaign.

Shalulile, who made his way to Sundowns from Highlands Park, is followed in second by Victor Letsoalo of Royal AM who has nine goals, Bienvenu Eva Nga of Chippa United is in third place with seven goals, Keagan Dolly of Kaizer Chiefs, Thamsanqa Gabuza SuperSport and Mduduzi Mdantsane of Cape Town City have six goals each, Ashley du Preez of Stellenbosch, Vusi Melema (AmaZulu) and Chibuike Ohizu Sekhukhune United stand at five points each.

Not one for the public eye, Shalulile used his Facebook social media page to with everyone a great festive season. “Please don't drink and drive, enjoy your festive season.”

Shalulile’s Sundowns enjoy a healthy lead at the top with the Christmas break looming. They lead the way with 43 points, followed in second by Royal AM and Stellenbosch, both on 26 points, with Kaizer Chiefs on 25 points. Sundowns was scheduled to face Amazulu last night at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium.

They will then face Gallants on 23 December in what will be the last match of the year.
