Helping families find homesHelping families find homesPaulina Ses is a sales consultant at NHE One of her proudest moments was the completion of her first project where 79 houses were built in Lüderitz Michelline Nawatises

Paulina Ses attended her secondary education at Suiderlig High School and then completed a marketing diploma at the International University of Management.

Then she obtained a bachelor degree (BA) at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) and her Honours at the Namibian Business School.

Ses is a single mother of three daughters. Her first job was at Metropolitan as a claims clerk from 2008 until 2010, under the inspiring leadership of Anna limbili-Mbandi and Catherine Cloete, both of whom she still looks up to.

Currently, she is employed at National Housing Enterprise (NHE) as a sales consultant.

In this position she oversees marketing and sales services in the Hardap and //Kharas region and builds external relationships to promote NHE products and services to the community and other stakeholders.

Between 2013 and 2017 she was the only sales consultant for the two regions.

“I’m telling you it’s not easy to manage everything on your own – but I managed with God’s help and with my former manager Mr Willem George Titus by my side,” she said.

Titus used to tell her: “Leaders instil in their people a hope for success and a belief in themselves. Positive leaders empower people to accomplish their goals.

“He always believed in me and motivated me to become better. It's rare to find leaders like him,” Ses said.

Her day in the office consists of selling houses (calling clients from the waiting list), calculating home loans, providing customer services and handling complaints, counselling clients regarding deductions, and selling NHE products.

Satisfied and happy clients inspire her, especially when she hands over houses.

“The expression of joy and excitement I see in the clients' faces, knowing that they now have a house for their families,” Ses explained.

Her advice to aspiring young people is to study hard, as education is the key to success.

“Your happiness in this life and the future, immortal life lies within yourself. Aim high, and spare no pains to reach the standard.”

One of her fears is to fail her daughters, because they look up to her, and, apart from their religion, she’s their source of strength.

Her proudest moment was when she completed her first project of 79 houses in Lüderitz during 2013 and 2014.

If she had an opportunity to change something in the world Ses would cut all entertainment allowance of ministries to save costs. “We need money to save the economy, that money can be used in different sectors, like housing and for Covid-19,” she said.

She says she would also introduce the blueprint for the second phase of the mass housing development programme.
