WINDHOEK
Gobabis-based football club Young African have invited Black Africa, Mighty Gunners and Tigers FC for a mini friendly tournament in the eastern town.
The teams will play at the Legare Stadium in Gobabis tomorrow at 09:00.
The tournament is set to serve as preparation ahead of the Namibia Premier Football transitional season, which commences next week.
“It will be a friendly tournament to get the players warmed-up for the transitional season.
“I invited these clubs because I know that they will provide us with a challenge and give us good games,” Young African owner Mali Ngarizemo said.
Young African will open the tournament with a match against Mighty Gunners at 09:00 before Black Africa battle Tigers FC at 11:00.
The losers from the first matches will then play against each other at 13:00.
The winners of the first matches will close off the day at 15:00.
“We have made all arrangements for Covid-19 protocols and everyone will be masked up and sanitised,” Ngarizemo said.
