WINDHOEK
Featherweight boxer Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas’ second tune-up fight in Mexico ended successfully on Friday.
The Namibian won the fight against Mexico’s Marco Chable on majority decision, much to the delight of local fans.
This was in-form Lukas’ second fight, having won his first against Mario Macias in a second-round knockout in early March.
The boxer now has a record of 25 wins and one loss. His team from Global Boxing Stars expressed satisfaction with his performance, with Scott Patrick Farrell saying the team has faced many challenges but that they overcame them.
Water your grass
“I’m proud of the sacrifice Lukas makes and his belief in my judgement and plans for his career.
“Many fighters don’t have the patience or tenacity for this hard business, so they leave.
“This is the news: The grass is never greener on the other side, it only stays green where you water it,” he said.
