The beautiful brunette was born in Windhoek and while in the capital city she spent most of her life trying out different skills and job possibilities, from wanting to become a doctor to journalism.
“I matriculated from WAP in 2020 and I am proud to say that I spent my entire school career in that amazing school. I had supportive teachers and coaches that wanted me to achieve my dream of becoming a qualified chartered accountant,” she says.
BDO is an auditing firm that specialises in accounting, tax and business advisory. The company helps individuals achieve their dreams and that is how Faul received a bursary from them in the year 2020.
Her plan for this year is to change from studying fulltime to studying part-time, making her adaptation process shorter than expected. While being a trainee accountant at BDO she is studying towards a BCompt Financial Accounting at the University of South Africa.
“I spend time creating new challenges and goals to achieve. Work life is different than school life and adapting to that change has been most challenging. Also knowing how to spend my time efficiently is very important, especially at auditing time when preparing work papers and files under strict schedules,” she says.
In her free time Faul enjoys spending time with the people she loves. She also enjoys practising and coaching rhythmic gymnastics at the Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Club.
Her job requires extensive knowledge of IT, skilled written and verbal communication, extended periods of concentrating on data, elementary accounting skills and small audits.
Faul strongly believes that one should start with something small and when you get the hang of it you can start aiming higher.
“Success to me as a part-time student would be able to balance my work life and student life while still doing the things I love. It also means to be happy and still achieve my dreams, I hope and plan to become a registered auditor and to be part of BDO, helping them achieve their mission,’’ she says.
Her advice to young people is to always aspire to achieve your dreams because at the end of the day you should be happy with what you have achieved. And to that God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers, so keep on pushing.
