OSHAKATI
The principal of Onamambo Primary School in the Oshigambo Circuit, Teophilus Shipahu, died on Wednesday after collapsing in a bank at Ondangwa.
Oshana police spokesperson Thomas Aiyambo confirmed the incident, saying the 59-year-old veteran educator collapsed and died while standing in line.
Aiyambo said an ambulance was called when Shipahu collapsed, but he was declared dead when the ambulance arrived.
The cause of death has not yet been determined. Aiyambo said the family indicated that Shipahu suffered from diabetes. His body was taken to the Oshakati police mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Shipahu hailed from Ekamba A village in the Oshigambo area. He had been the principal of Onamambo Primary School for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife and children.
