Deloitte announces best companies Professional services firm Deloitte last week announced the winners of its annual ''Best Company to Work For'' survey, giving employees across the country a platform to reflect on their satisfaction levels at work.
Survey veterans the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund of Namibia emerged the winner in the small and medium-sized company category, rating organisations with fewer than 500 employees.
Second and third places in this category went to the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa) and the Namibia Institute of Pathology.
In the large company group, with more than 500 employees, Trustco Group Holdings came out on top, followed by FNB Namibia and Agra in second and third positions.
A total of 19 employers, representing approximately 12 761 employees, participated in this year''s survey, Deloitte said, with Deloitte Namibia partner Ramsay McDonald noting an overall mean score of 3.73.
“The benchmark score indicating excellence is an average of more than 3.7,” the company said in a statement announcing the winners.
The MVA Fund attained a score of 4.09, the organisers said, compared to 4.06 achieved by last year''s small and medium category winner.
Trustco Group Holdings had managed to upstage last year''s category winner, at 4.15 compared to 3.99.
Categories employees are surveyed on include their perceptions of their employer''s values and culture, its leadership, their relationship with management and supervisors, job satisfaction, performance and recognition as well as remuneration and sense of fairness and equity.
