WINDHOEK



A group of 30 players have been called up for training that starts today in Windhoek ahead of the 2020 Cosafa Men's Under-20 Championship, which will take place from 3 to 13 December in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

The team, coached by James Britz, has been drawn in Group B of the competition with defending champions Zambia, Malawi and Comoros Islands; while Group C is made up of Angola, Eswatini and Botswana.

The Namibians will open their campaign against Zambia on 4 December. In their second match on 7 December, they will face Malawi and then end their first-stage action against Comoros on 9 December.

Only the top team in each pool and the best-placed runners-up advance to the semi-finals. The tournament aims to provide the platform for an introduction to international football at an early age.



The Young Warriors training squad consists of:
