The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Tjekero Tweya, has lambasted some segments of the media whose reporting “creates false impressions”.
Tweya was speaking at the opening of the third Arandis Investment Conference and Uranium Festival at Arandis on Friday.
He said statements in the media referring to Arandis as a ghost town and portraying investors as criminals are misleading.
“The financial institutions present here today will agree that they are doing great business despite the fact that they were misinformed,” said the minister.
