We are expecting a great game of memorable displays

The 2016 Standard Bank Super Cup final is expected to produce fireworks as African Stars will be determined to defend their title against Tigers at the Sam Nujoma Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
Both sides were presented with their playing kit by the sponsor at Football House on Wednesday morning.
MTC Premiership champions Tigers will take on Standard Bank Super Cup defending champions African Stars in the grand finale.
Stars had won the mini-playoffs held in August to take their place in the final match.
‘Starlile’ will be gunning for a record third consecutive triumph in the Standard Bank Super Cup.
It has now become customary that the two participating teams are presented with their kit for the clash, with Standard Bank Namibia’s company secretary Sigrid Tjijorokisa calling on the two teams to bring out the best of football.
“We are expecting a great game of memorable displays and we call upon all the fans to come and witness the biggest game of the year with us,” Tjijorokisa said.
“Standard Bank is excited about the game on Saturday and we have no doubt that the best of football will be dished out for all to enjoy.”
Namibia Football Association (NFA) secretary-general Barry Rukoro echoed Tjijorokisa’s sentiments.
“The NFA is here to bring the sponsors and it is the clubs’ job to make sure they stay with us and that is through bringing the fans to the stadiums and playing the best of football.
“Let’s make this one a spectacle indeed,” Rukoro stated.
The day’s programme will start at 12:00 when the gates open and at 13:00 the African Stars and Tigers Legends will polish their golden boots.
At 14:00 Standard Bank Social Club will take on Revolutions in another exhibition encounter.
The grand finale will be at 16:00 between Tigers and Stars.
Award-winning musician Gazza will provide the entertainment.
Tickets for the 2016 Standard Bank Super Cup are available at Computicket outlets countrywide as well as Football House in Katutura at N$30 each.
