Transformation and diversity in the workplace seem to be developing at a snail’s pace, with the latest employment equity report indicating that white men still occupy the majority of executive positions in companies and institutions around the country.
Affirmative action reports indicate that out of 954 executive director positions around the country, 474 are occupied by racially advantaged men with 92 occupied by racially advantaged women.
Black women, or racially disadvantaged as termed in the document, are still not benefiting from affirmative action.
