Swapo sets date for extraordinary congress The ruling Swapo Party will hold an extraordinary congress on 30 November to 1 December at Ramatex in Windhoek. On the agenda are the reports and resolutions of the sixth ordinary elective congress held late last year, as well as poverty reduction, ignorance, and social and economic upheavals bedevilling the nation. Swapo secretary-general Sophia Shaningwa said the extraordinary congress is a continuation of the last congress and will be attended by the same delegates who participated in the previous one.
