Subcontractor threatens to destroy property

A subcontractor has threatened to demolish a number of structures put up at an Omaheke school in protest against non-payment by a contractor.
The company, Obedient Investment cc, was contracted by MRP Namibia to construct a hostel, teachers’ accommodation and other facilities at the Otjiuaneho Primary School in the Omaheke Region.
The project was part of the Namibian-German Special Initiative Programme (NGSIP) under the auspices of the National Planning Commission (NPC). MRP Namibia is owned by former Brave Warriors footballer Lucky Richter.
