Founding president and respected Namibian statesman Sam Nujoma took the opportunity of a packed house at his 87th birthday celebrations this weekend to speak of the need for a united Namibia “in the spirit of Harambee” and dedicated his birthday celebrations to Namibia’s first medical doctor graduates.
The founding president furthermore spoke about the persistent drought threatening water sources and development, saying Namibia should prioritise climate change related issues and proposing desalination plants as an alternative water resource.
