‘July 31 is too far’

Hundreds of Windhoek residents cleared land in the Goreangab area yesterday, claiming to be tired of renting a place to live.
A stand-off between the land grabbers and more than 100 police officers ended peacefully when the angry mob dispersed, vowing to return to “their plots”.
At one stage the crowd accused the armed police officers of “wanting to kill them like they killed Frieda Ndatipo”.
