The Old Mutual Victory Race series was launched in Windhoek yesterday morning.
Over the years, the Victory Race has become the biggest road-running event in Namibia, with an average of 4 000 Namibians taking part every year.
In his speech Sport Minister Jerry Ekandjo said the ministry was mandated to develop and empower the youth and to promote sport throughout the country at all levels.
Old Mutual’s Nico Hoabeb said that having such a partner when it comes to the Victory Races makes things easier.
