The hottest Honda we won’t see

The sad reality of Namibia’s dependency is that what South Africa does or doesn’t get will mirror Namibia’s fate. Speaking at the launch of the Civic Type R hatch in Cape Town in January, Graham Eagle, director of operations at Honda Motors southern Africa, delivered the bad news – we won’t see the NSX.
The poor performance of the rand has sent the prices of the NSX skyrocketing. In fact, the NSX, according to Honda, would cost nearly R6 million if it was sold in Mzansi. Imagine that! With an extra N$100 000 costs slammed on if it came to Windhoek. It just is too expensive.
