The Shoprite Group last week celebrated the opening of its latest USave branch in Windhoek’s Havana area. In launching the new branch on Thursday, the South African-based food retailer said it was excited at the chance to create an expected 300 new jobs for people in the surrounding area. The new outlet brings to 79 the number of shops run by the group in Namibia, and its number of employees to 4 379. The Shoprite Group is comprised of a number of food and retail brands, including Shoprite Checkers, OK MiniMark and Hungry Lion.
