August 26 to build food banks

This week Namibian Sun has learned that a contract for the construction of the long-awaited food banks has been awarded, with tender exemption, to the Namibian Defence Force company August 26.
Although Brigadier-General James Auala, at the helm of August 26, said he was unaware of any such project, several well-placed sources confirmed the report.
The Deputy Minister of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare, Reverend Aino Kapewangolo, who responsible for the food banks, said she could not comment on the issue.
