The economic crisis in neighbouring Angola has had far-reaching implications for the Namibian economy.
At least eleven sectors including retail, tourism, accommodation, transport, construction, education, banking and healthcare have experienced a rapid decline, mainly due to Angola’s economic crisis.
As the economy of Africa’s second-largest oil producer continues to nosedive, the Namibian market, which relies heavily on Angolan consumers, is fighting its own battles.
