The newly appointed Rehoboth town clerk, Christophe Uirab, has distanced himself from a public notice announcing the sale of 30 residential plots to one company.
Although the notice was issued in his name and published in the Rehoboth Gazette on February 12, Uirab said he had not been consulted at all.
The plots, ranging between 375 and 500 square metres, were sold at an average of N$16 875 to Mobesa Developers.
“I only came to learn of it when it was published; it does not have the blessing of the CEO’s office,” Uirab said.
