Attorney-General Sacky Shanghala was at the receiving end of a public tongue-lashing over his comment that it was black Namibians who complained about the proposed N$700 million construction of a new parliament building.
Shanghala was speaking at a panel discussion on the Namibian Constitution titled ‘Racial and Tribal Discrimination – Do We Need New Laws?’.
He deviated from that topic and said “I would rather have a discussion with you about the new parliament than talk to you about things that happened before some of you were born.”
