The latest amendments to Namibia’s Pension Funds Act paid off generously for the retirement funds sector in the second half of 2015, resulting in a more than N$9 billion increase in the value of investment assets over the period.
The Namibia Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (Namfisa) reports in its quarterly statistical bulletin for the third quarter of 2015 that retirement funds’ investment assets grew from N$2.7 billion in June 2015 to N$12.1 billion by September 30 last year.
